Build-A-Bear announced the launch of a new collection of Disney The Lion King furry friends, outfits and accessories based on the all-new adaptation of the movie, in theaters July 19.
Fans can make their own Disney The Lion King furry friend in the Workshop, with special activities and photo ops along the way. The collection will also be available for purchase online at buildabear.com and buildabear.co.uk. This is the first time that Disney The Lion King plush are offered at Build-A-Bear Workshop.
The collection includes Young Nala, Young Simba, Nala, Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon. A “Nants’ Ingonyama” (Circle of Life Chant) sound chip or an “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” sound chip can also be added to the stuffed characters, as well as several clothing items and accessories.
Fans visiting Build-A-Bear Workshop stores to build their characters can also top off the celebration with a special heart ceremony, photo op with their new creation against a Lion King backdrop, and take-home lion mane paper crown. There will also be activities, great “grub” recipes, and more. Festivities will be held on weekends in July and August.
