Xtreme Play to Create Umbrella Academy Collectibles

Xtreme Play entered into a multi-year licensing agreement with UCP (Universal Content Productions) to create a collectible toy line based on the Netflix series, The Umbrella Academy. Xtreme Play will bring the hit show to life through a wide range of products, including stylized figures, plush, and cosplay. The new line is expected to arrive at retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada during the first half of 2020.  The deal was brokered by Striker Entertainment, UCP’s licensing agency on behalf of the show.

Based on the popular Eisner award-winning comics created and written by Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance and published by Dark Horse ComicsThe Umbrella Academy follows a dysfunctional family of superheroes that come together to solve the mystery of the death of their father, the threat of the apocalypse, and more. Season two of the series is currently in production and expected to premiere on Netflix in 2020.
