TCG Toys Adds Top Wildbrain Property Strawberry Shortcake and Boat Rocker’s Dino Ranch to Licensed Line Up

Multi-brand toy company TCG Toys, announced that it has entered into a multi-category licensing agreement with WildBrain for Strawberry Shortcake and Boat Rocker’s Dino Ranch, for its growing lineup of licensed Bend-Ems, SURE-LOX and Megamat, among other brands. TCG Toys will introduce an assortment of Strawberry Shortcake products based on the perennial favorite for nearly 50 years, Strawberry Shortcake, including its SURE-LOX Puzzles, Megamat, Bend-Ems, Magnetic Creations and Memory Match Games. Strawberry Shortcake continues to charm a new generation of kids with both modern new iterations and the original WildBrain series Berry in the Big City, currently streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime and Peacock.

Recently having closed pre-orders for its debut Series 1 line of legendary Ultra collectible figures, former Remco Toys executive and co-founder of PowerTown Wrestling, Steve Rosenthal, along with co-founder and former celebrated professional wrestler Greg Gagne made the announcement of the deal.

Canadian kids franchise company, Epic Story Media, has hired Ali Lynette-Krech as the Producer and Co-Director for Moody Studios’ new preschool series, Mia & Codie. She will be Co-Directing along with Don Moody, the three-time Emmy Award winning creator of WordWorld. “As a high quality CG-animated series, Ali’s creativity and technical expertise is an invaluable asset to the Mia & Codie team,” said Co-Director Don Moody. “We’re beyond lucky to have her on the project.”

Sesame Workshop Names Kim Díaz New Vice President of Creative Development

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind decades of award-winning educational content, today named Kim Díaz the newest Vice President of Creative Development. Since joining Sesame Workshop in 2016, Díaz has been a leader in her field, overseeing all aspects of content development, generating new program ideas for kids and families, and serving as Creative Producer for select current series. As the VP of Creative Development, Díaz will develop and lead the creative development strategy for new long-form and short-form series, specials, and other programming initiatives which align with Sesame Workshop’s mission and creative vision. She will also be responsible for developing and vetting innovative program ideas and genres and identifying and partnering with the right distributor for each property. She will report to Kay Wilson Stallings, Executive Vice President of Creative and Production.
