FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, has appointed IMG, a global leader in sports, events, media and fashion, as global master licensee of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, taking place 25 August – 10 September 2023 in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines. This is the first time in the history of the competition that multiple countries will host the global tournament, which will feature 32 national teams.

Paramount Global and RECUR have announced that Star Trek will be the first NFT digital collection to drop from their multi-year partnership to bring Paramount’s beloved entertainment brands and characters to the metaverse. Fans will be able to access Star Trek digital collectibles starting April 9th through Paramount.xyz, the online portal to access Paramount’s iconic IP and cherished franchises in the form of NFTs.
Through the generosity of the USS Harry S. Truman Foundation, the non-profit Operation Shower hosted a group baby shower for 40 local military moms-to-be at the Renaissance Portsmouth Norfolk Waterfront. All of the expectant moms were the spouses or partners of deployed members of the USS Harry S. Truman. WTKR reporter Angela Bohon, whose husband recently retired from the U.S. Navy, served as the event’s guest host.
